Flexible Silicone and Kapton Heaters
Flexible Heaters are thin and lightweight surface heaters for precise heating of solid bodies. They consist of wire wound elements and a flexible material such as Silicone or Kapton foil. Flexible heaters come in various shapes such as Wire wound heaters, Etched foil heaters, Foam insulation heaters, Preformed heaters, Spiral heaters and Kapton heaters.
Flexible Heaters can be used for a wide variety of applications, e.g. Industrial catering, Battery warming, Environmental control or electronics particularly telecommunications, Military & Aerospace devices, Laboratory equipment, Fluid or gas delivery systems, Photographic and optical equipment, GRP pipe curing systems, and more.

WIRE WOUND FEATERS
Heaters that are constructed using wire wound elements are ideal for customers looking to purchase in lower volumes. This particular construction is optimal for heaters that will be handled frequently, as opposed to being fixed or static. This type of heater can be heavily customised to suit a wide variety of applications.
Key Facts
Moisture and chemical resistant
Flexible and lightweight
UL, VDE and LSLT options available
Maximum size 940 x 3000mm
Thickness range 1.1mm to 3mm
Temperature range -60°C to 250°C
ETCHED FOIL HEATERS
Heaters that are constructed using etched foil tracks are ideal for customers who are looking to purchase in higher volumes. The heat distribution in etched foil elements is significantly better than wire elements due to the additional coverage they provide. This increased area means an etched foil heater can handle high power densities with rapid heat up properties. This type of heater can be heavily customised to suit a wide variety of applications.

Thickness range 0.8mm to 1.5mm
Temperature range -60°C to 230°C
KAPTON HEATERS
Kapton (polyimide) is a thin, flexible and semi-transparent material that is ideally suited for applications that require a fast and efficient thermal transfer. Due to the resilient nature of the material, these heaters are suitable in environments that require chemical resistance with zero outgassing. This type of heater can be heavily customised to suit a wide variety of applications.
